One of the great things about being a flight attendant is the flexibility in your schedule. As a newbie, you get what you’re given but once you’re assigned a schedule, you can swap it to your heart’s content. I lucked into a swap to Amsterdam which was my first international working flight. Bigger plane, longer flight, but what an adventure. I had an AMAZING crew to show me around on the layover and got to see a new country.
